Greenwood Park claimed the Saracens Herts League Division Eight A Title with a 101 run victory over Ware.
The win rounded off a fantastic year for Park who secured top spot by just one point, narrowly triumphing over Potten End.
Greenwood’s away victory was assisted by a resurgent 107 run partnership between Ed Gray and Arslan Khan, after their side had fallen to 81-4 inside 19 overs.
The former produced a dogged and determined 54, despite early wickets falling, whilst Khan kept the run-rate flowing – displaying a magnificent array of shots on his way to a counter-attacking 70.
There was a late cameo from Vinil Palai who smashed 35, including five fours and one enormous six, as Park posted a competitive 256-10 inside 49 overs.
In response, Ware got off to a strong start, with a 68 run stand for the second wicket looking like it could halt Greenwood’s title party.
But a vital 3-47 from Palai and a superb 4-24 from man-of-the-match Khan brought the game back towards their team as Park strode towards victory.
There were also wickets for Ajmal Hussain and Shafaat Hussain before Natahaan Shetty claimed the final scalp as Greenwood bowled Ware out for 155 and took the Division Eight A trophy.
