Greenwood Park’s league season is under ten weeks away.

Having gained promotion to division Eight A last year, Park are looking to continue their impressive form this campaign.

With winter nets showing promising signs that Park’s momentum can be carried over, Saturday Captain Chris Kent said he was “really looking forward to the new season.”

He continued: “I feel we are strong enough to maintain what we have done in previous years and really challenge for promotion.”

However the skipper is wary of the challenges a higher division may bring.

“This year more than most will be interesting, partly because we are up against a fresh set of teams, whereas in previous years we had experience of playing our opposition.”

Despite now competing at a higher level, Kent added he was hopeful of another top two finish but admitted the start of the year would dictate his side’s fortunes.

He added: “I really feel we can challenge for promotion, but I strongly believe it’s all about starting well and maintaining momentum.”
