Greenwood Park secured their first victory of the season with a four-wicket win over Little B. Sahibs.
An excellent counter-attacking 48* from Aman Talha and a stubborn 35* from Jimmy Otter guided Greenwood home after the hosts had fallen to 69-6.
Winning the toss, captain Chris Kent elected to bowl and was reward as both Troy Petchey and Ajmal Hussain started excellently.
The pair’s combined opening spell of 14 overs shed just 16 runs with Hussain picking up one wicket.
Talha then put in an incredible display of fast bowling, picking up two wickets despite deserving more.
But Little B’s rallied and ended up eight down for 147 after their 50 overs.
In response, Kent and Atique Ahmed opened the innings but it wasn’t long before the former was trudging back to the boundary without troubling the scorers.
Arslan Khan quickly followed before Ahmed and Shafaat Hussain briefly eased some of the early pressure.
But when they fell it was down to Talha and Otter who batted with great responsibility to lead Park to 30 precious points.
